How to request deletion of your personal data, account, or WhatsApp contact records from bijnis.xyz.

Your Right to Delete Your Data

bijnis.xyz, operated by SOT Labs [SourceOfTruth Labs LLP], respects your right to request deletion of personal data we hold about you. This page explains exactly how to make a deletion request and what happens after you do.

The easiest way is from inside the app: open the app dashboard, click your avatar (top-right) to see your Profile, then choose Delete my account. You confirm by typing a short phrase and entering a code we email you. Before anything is removed, you get a link to immediately download all your data — your business data plus an HTML copy that renders your website — so you can take it with you. Your account is then deactivated immediately, your bijnis-hosted website (on your *.kabijnis.online subdomain only — this has no effect on your own website or your own domain, if you use one) is taken down, and everything is permanently deleted after a 30-day grace period — and you can reactivate any time within those 30 days by simply logging back in.

Deleting removes your personal and business data — your bijnis-hosted website (on your *.kabijnis.online subdomain), business profile, catalog, Google Business Profile connection, WhatsApp and social connections, reviews, messages and analytics. If you connected your own external website on your own domain, that website stays yours and is unaffected — only its connection to bijnis is removed. We are legally required to retain your invoices and tax records for about 7 years (Indian GST / Income-Tax law) even after deletion; those are kept to the minimum the law requires. Prefer email? How to Request Deletion — Step by Step

Send a deletion request email

Email us at hello@sotlabs.net with the subject line: "Data Deletion Request".

Include your account details

In your email, please include:

  • The email address registered with your bijnis.xyz account
  • Your business name (if applicable)
  • The phone number connected to your WhatsApp integration (if applicable)
  • What you want deleted: full account, WhatsApp data only, or specific records

We verify your identity

We may respond with a quick verification question to confirm you are the account owner before processing the deletion. This protects you from unauthorized deletion requests.

Deletion is processed within 30 days

Once verified, we will delete or permanently anonymize the requested data within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email when this is done.

What Data Will Be Deleted

Upon a valid deletion request, we will delete:

  • Your account profile (name, email address, login credentials)
  • Your business information stored on our platform
  • WhatsApp contact records and message logs associated with your business number
  • Auto-reply rules and broadcast campaign history
  • Any Google Business Profile data we stored on your behalf
  • Any other personal or business data associated with your account

What may be retained after deletion:

  • Billing and transaction records required by applicable Indian law (GST, accounting obligations)
  • Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you
  • Data required for fraud prevention, security investigations, or legal proceedings

For End Customers (WhatsApp Users)

If you are an end customer who messaged a business through WhatsApp and that business uses bijnis.xyz, your phone number and message history may be stored in our system on behalf of that business.

To request deletion of your data:

  1. Reply STOP or OPTOUT to any WhatsApp message from that business — this immediately stops all automated messages.
  2. Email us at hello@sotlabs.net with your phone number and the name of the business, and request removal of your contact record.

We will process your request within 30 days and confirm by email if you provide one.
